Tuition

At Mills Guitar Studio, we charge per lesson rather than a default monthly amount.  This allows flexibility with your schedule all year round.  During the school year, there are always school functions to be accounted for.  Similarly, in the summer there are always vacations to consider.
However, the more consistent the lessons, the faster the improvement.  As a result, you get a discount if you enroll in three or more lessons in a month.
Weekly lessons are the most common.  Tuition is billed on the 25th in the month preceding lessons, and it is due on the 10th of the month in which you are enrolled in lessons.  For new enrollments, tuition is the discounted rate.
Payments are accepted by Check, Venmo, PayPal, and Zelle.

Practice Guidelines

Music is a language.  It is a discipline as well as an intellectual and physical skill.  It cannot be learned without consistency.

BEGINNER STUDENTS:  Beginners will need to gradually work into a routine.  By the end of their first year, they should be practicing at least 15 minutes per day, 5 days a week.  Practicing should incorporate all the material covered in their weekly lessons.

INTERMEDIATE STUDENTS:  Depending on the goals and level of a student, intermediate students should be practicing 20-60 minutes minimum per day, 5 days a week.  Some students may find they need more time per day (up to 1-3 hours each day) as they advance through their goals.

ADVANCED STUDENTS:  Advanced students are rare.  If a student considers themselves advanced, then they must treat their craft like a professional.  This means practicing 3-6 hours a day, 6 days a week.
